About Us

Our association is built on the principles that your body and most importantly feet should have the best possible chance to enjoy the amazing sport of skiing. Your feet deserve the best care and attention is taken to ensure a correctly fitted and comfortable ski boot that will not only enhance your skiing ability but enjoyment too. We want you to have the most fun whilst skiing possible!

There are countless instances of ski boots ruining skiers holidays because of miss-sold boots causing pain and discomfort. Our aim at BSBA is to stop that happening and to give you peace of mind and confidence that you are in a professionals hands. Buying ski boots should not be done in a production line, we believe in individual customer focus and due care and attention when boots are fitted.

We formed the association with a committee of like minded master boot-fitters with expertise in podiatry, pedorthics and biomechanics as well as experienced trainers who share a passion for ski boot-fitting and a desire to raise and maintain the trade standards in the UK and indeed, Europe.

Michelle Wilcox: Trainer
I started out working part time while still at school at a local ski shop. I spent a couple of seasons doing that and naturally gravitated towards the equipment side of the industry, mostly ski boot fitting which held my interest, mainly for the problem solving. This then gave me the connections to go away to New Zealand and do a ski season as a boot fitter.
Since then I have done back to back winters which has amounts to 7 seasons in New Zealand, 1 season in France and 6 seasons with profeet. My role at profeet is Senior Boot Technican, where I help construct some of the training. I have amassed 14 winters where I have skied at least 60/100 days a year, at 26 I'm probably one of the youngest members of the BSBA.
Apart from skiing other interests are football, music, art and circuit bending.
